With decades of experience as a sommelier and traveller and a deep-rooted love for Greece, I share my passion for wine, history, and authentic connection in everything I do.
As your sommelier and guide, I’ll take you beyond the typical tourist path—into family-run wineries, hidden tavernas, and historic sites that come alive with stories. Traveling with a small group, we’ll experience Greece the way it’s meant to be: personal, immersive, unhurried, and full of unforgettable moments.
Why Spring and Fall? I love traveling to Greece in the spring and fall—when the light is soft, the air is mild, and the landscape is lush and alive. There are fewer crowds, the pace is slower, and locals have more time to connect. It’s the perfect season to experience Greece at its most authentic.

I went on the Curious Sommelier tour on a whim not really knowing what was in store for me.
Obviously there would be a bit of wine involved but Pauls amazing knowledge and his simple way of conveying it
made me appreciate the grape even more. If I was in the mood to ‘Geek out” on a Malagousia or just live in the
moment with a nice rose I could be satisfied. Meeting the wine maker, walking through the fields, and experiencing
the Terroir couldn’t be beat. Travelling from A to B wasn’t putting on miles , it was a fabulous experience often on
twisting backroads with snippets of History along the way. Visiting ruins was a high point for me and I thank Paul for
his vast knowledge of these places and his infectious enthusiasm! I won’t forget the meals we enjoyed. It is easy to
go to the most expensive place in town but dining at out of the way places with exquisite food with local ideals
enhanced the flavours. Having a fabulous place to lay my head at the end of the day rounded the experience.
In a nutshell …I would highly recommend the tour to anyone…. I’d love to go again!

Standing on an otherwise indistinguishable little hill that thousands, unaware that this was where history was made
in the battle of Thermopylae as Leonidas and 300 Spartans met their fate, simply drive past was just one example
of how a wine tour with Paul is so much more than imbibing fine Greek wine. His encyclopedic knowledge of the
Greek past and his immense enthusiasm for this ancient culture bring to life a region steeped in history. Paul’s
engaging explanations let us experience ancient treasures of Greek history in a new light on a tour of inspiring
sites accompanied by a narrative told with passion and more than a dash of excellent Greek wine. On this fact
filled trip through a tasty and intriguing slice of Greek culture we connected with Greece in a whole new way,
learning from the perspective of a curious and knowledgeable sommelier. We visited wineries that are producing
some outstanding wines, experienced fine dining and authentic family-run tavernas, walked where the founders of
democracy stood, marvelled at the artistry of ancient cultures, saw first-hand how military strategy played out on
the Greek plains, and greatly enjoyed the banter from this thoroughly personable friend. It’s impossible to be bored
on this trip; we experienced such a variety of landscapes, art and flavours, all woven together through Paul’s
captivating narrative. He thoughtfully planned an itinerary of historical sites, hotels, restaurants, wineries and
experiences that showed us what the region had to offer and kept us well occupied but not too exhausted. There
were so many memories from this trip, like the majestic hilltop monasteries at Meteora and watching new vines
being planted that the grandchildren of the vineyard owner will be tending in years to come. We had a truly
wonderful experience and wholeheartedly recommend Paul’s tour.
